After the recent outage of the GoDaddy services,
many of the sites have been gone into trouble
and thus the company was decided to give a one-month free credit for GoDaddy
customers.
An email is being sent to the customers apologizing for the
damage caused due to the outage of domain services and thereby offering a free
credit of one month service. Users will receive a link stating about the free
credit and they have to redeem it by clicking the link which has an expiration
period of 7days from the sent date.
The cause for the recent
outage has been confirmed by GoDaddy that it was not an external attack or a
hack but the outage was due to a series of internal network events that
corrupted router data tables. Also GoDaddy added that no information about the
customers was compromised.
During a recent blog
post, GoDaddy stated “Throughout our history, we have provided 99.999% uptime
in our DNS infrastructure. This is the level our customers expect from us and
the level we expect of ourselves. We have let our customers down and we know it.”
Almost 10 million
customers have been affected as the company’s servers went down on Monday. GoDaddy
being a prime choice in web-hosting and domain-registration company has to take
more care not to affect its huge user base.
