Windows 8, the latest operating system from the software giant Microsoft is out for a release preview.

The first thing I hate about Windows8 is the logo.  The single blue color logo received much of criticism already. Windows 8 looks not so impressive except the metro interface which is making the people to try out.

Actually the OS is more into the tablet interface which is not a perfect fit for a PC or a laptop. Professionally and for business needs this doesn’t seem to be a choice as multi tasking doesn’t seem so easy.

The apps are not a thing of a desktop user and full screen viewing and working with the charms bar needs a lot of patience to get into work. Even closing apps is not easier. And friend after installing for the first time was totally confused for where to find the shutdown button.

When in case if an organization is running on Windows Xp for now and they want to upgrade then they would surely prefer the Windows7 to Windows 8 as the former  just has small enhancements to the taskbar and aero interface and is easy to use and doesn’t need a long training. Whereas when it comes to Windows8 it does have Charms bar, Metro interface and the new apps that are basically not best choice for a desktop user.

Though the Windows 8 has some enhancements to windows 7 but those are not game changing. Many of the features like the enhanced task manager, the new interface of copying files can be just added to Windows 7 by third party apps.
